Has Joey Arroyo Been in Hiding
-11/11/08

I wanted to put up a quick message to let everyone know that I haven't died. I locked myself in the studio for a while and we have been working diligently on our first full band release. We're very excited with the results and we can't wait to get it out for you all to hear.

In the meantime, we have a show coming up on Saturday, Nov. 22nd with Ben Kenney.

Ben Kenney is the former bass player for Incubus and The Roots, both of whom have had a considerable influence on my music. His solo project is equally great and I hope all of you can make it out for a good time.

GooooOOOO Planet!
-08/12/08

The show with Roger Clyne and The Peacemakers was a great experience  to say the least. From Captain Planet singalongs, to guitar hero rock outs, it may have been too obvious how much fun we were having. Keep an eye out for new music coming your way in a few days.

Chicken Scratch
-06/16/08

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Show at the Marquee Theater with Brandi Carlile. The show went over well and it was a privilege to share the stage with such a great musician.

To all of  you who signed up for the newsletter at the show, I must say, the challenge of trying to read some of your handwriting was interesting to say the least. I can't really say too much as mine is the epitome of all things "chicken scratch." However, on that note, if you didn't receive your free music download, please sign up for the newsletter again by entering your email address above.

I have a couple shows in the works, so check back soon as I'll keep you posted.

I'd be more apathetic...if I wasn't so lathargic
-05/20/08

This evening, while settling in up north for the weekend, I slipped into a contemplative state. Rightfully so for such thoughts when the only baggage that comes with you is in the car. I've found lately more and more that such getaways are imperative to my sanity. I haven't quite decided whether or not that is a good thing however. I feel that if everyone is frequently in need of different surroundings and alone time, it poses a question.

Is it our nature to yearn for constant change, or is it that there is clearly something wrong with the life we are leading? Is there something out there that will always leave us with a content sense of self, or are we wired to become complacent in whatever it is we do for an extended period of time?

I guess that was more than one question.

Store Launched
-05/15/08

The store is now up and running, so be sure to head over and check it out. I had been working on the design for a couple weeks and now the work will come from populating the store itself with more products. You will always be able to purchase each song that I release for digital download right from the store, so be sure to save the link. On that note, the more music you purchase, the quicker I will be able to get the rest of the merch rollin'. wink wink...

To visit the store, click on the "store" link on the right, or go to: joeyarroyomusic.com/store

Also, sign up for the mailing list above and I will send you a free song download.

After Show Digest
-05/05/08

I first off want to start out by thanking everyone who made it out to my show last Friday. It was a great turn out and really helped me to get my foot farther in the door for Luckyman Productions. I guess you can say I have a hip in the door or something.

Despite the timing issues, lack of sound check, and the kitchen at the Brickhouse being closed for the night, we still pulled together one hell of a show, and the support is appreciated as always.

We've now launched the ability to purchase the songs right here on the website, so head over to the music section and grab the available songs Sugar in my Coffee and Gray Imagination.

There will be many more songs to come so please join the mailing list above so I can keep you up to date on all the new releasing music for download.

We are now rolling out what's called the "Joey Arroyo is" project. Which will feature different collections of songs that reveal differen't personality traits of mine. We are kicking it off with four tracks and will continue to release songs throughout the year, placing them in their appropriate category. Please sign up for the mailing list in order to stay up to date on all the new tracks.
